Diplomate of the National Board in General Surgery is a postgraduate medical course available in India. It provides advanced training in surgical procedures. General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on the abdominal concerns such as esophagus, stomach, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and many more.

This is a career-orienting and job-providing course in nature. It also opens many jobs after its successful completion. After qualifying in the final NBEMS examination, the candidate could be able to function as a specialist in General Surgery. This requires the basic knowledge of fundamentals.

Candidates must be reasonably familiar with recent developments and be able to independently execute the required alternative and emergency operational procedures. By writing a thesis at this time, the individual will also gain expertise in research technique.

Endoscopy
