Skin Tone Adjustment Treatment

  • Description
Description

In order to achieve a more balanced and even complexion, skin tone adjustment techniques and treatments focus on the color of the skin. These treatments act by minimizing the occurrence of dark patches, reducing hyperpigmentation, and treating discoloration brought on by hormonal changes, sunburn, etc. Treatments for skin tone adjustment can bring out the skin’s inbuilt beauty and give the appearance of younger skin. Uneven skin tone is characterized by both skin discoloration and change in skin texture. Usually easily distinguished from the surrounding areas, the affected skin may have dark markings or patterns of varying colors, or it may have a rough or patchy texture.

Main Causes of Uneven Skin Tone

Sun exposure

  • Sun damage from prolonged exposure to UV light causes brown spots and uneven skin tone due to an increase in melanin production.

Hyperpigmentation

  • Darker skin spots or patches characterize this skin disorder. Hence the result, discoloration of skin, which is caused by an increase in melanin production.

Aging

  • The skin becomes thinner with time, and that can cause a number of problems, such as previous sun damage showing on the skin’s surface. Slowing of cell ratio also contributes to an accumulation of dead skin cells, which can give the skin an uneven texture.

Hormonal changes

  • Imbalance of hormones can increase the production of melanin which results in uneven skin tone. This is mostly experienced by women who are taking contraceptive pills or pregnant.

Skin damage

  • Uneven facial skin can also result from injuries. Permanent scars with varying colors and textures can result from more severe cuts and wounds. Damage to the facial veins from specific accidents might result in long-lasting redness and discoloration.

Acne & Scars

  • Acne can cause skin irritation and flushing, resulting in an uneven tone. It can also cause redness or hyperpigmentation in those with darker skin.

Other skin conditions

  • Skin diseases, such as rosacea or dermatitis, can produce flushing and create the appearance of uneven skin tone. Pityriasis alba and PIH can also create uneven skin tone.

Benefits of Skin Tone Treatments

  • This helps in removing dead skin cells, minimizing pores, and even out fine lines, resulting in smoother skin texture.
  • With the help of therapies and creams, decrease in dark spots and hyperpigmentation, promote an even skin tone.
  • Licorice root extract and activated C, can refresh dull skin and give a glowing effect to the skin.
  • Chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and laser therapy can treat a variety of causes of uneven skin tone, including hyperpigmentation, erythema, and many more.
  • Proper skincare routines and sun protection creams help keep uneven skin tone from worsening or recurring.

Skin Tone Adjustment Procedures & Their Cost

There are multiple treatments available to adjust your skin tone. Each procedure cost depends on numbers of sessions and expertise of the skincare specialist. Although their average cost range from 15,000 to 25,000 rs. However, all skin treatments are cost effective in India as compare other countries. These skin adjustment treatments are as follows:

Tropical Lightening creams

  • These lotions or creams contain hydroquinone, retinoids, vitamin C, etc. It can be used to lighten pigmented areas and balance out skin tone. These creams operate by decreasing melanin development, increasing cellular ratio, and minimizing the visual aspect of dark patches.

Chemical peels

  • This treatment removes the dead outer layers of the skin, revealing new, fresh skin beneath. It has been shown to be effective in renewing an individual’s skin and achieving a better skin tone.

Laser or Intense Pulsed Light Therapy

  • In these therapies wavelengths of light are used to remove extra melanin in the skin. The pigmented cells absorb the light energy, which breaks them and step by step lightens the treated areas. These therapies can help reduce the dark skin, sun spots, and various types of discoloration. For best results, many sessions may be required.

Microdermabrasion

  • This non-harmful exfoliation procedure promotes a more youthful look by removing damaged skin layers and thickening collagen. This procedure smooths out rough skin, creates a more even complexion, and reduces the appearance of superficial coloration.

Skin whitening

  • These treatments work to promote a lighter skin tone by preventing the production of melanin, which lightens the complexion overall. These treatments may have some risks and side effects, it is important to consult with a qualified professional.

Post-Procedure Precautions

  • Make sure your skin and body are always hydrated. Drinking lots of water can help to shrink pores and keep them clear.
  • Sunscreen lotions and moisturizers should be used to prevent sun damage and to treat skin that is dry or red.
  • Individuals can use a yogurt mask because it contains natural bleaching agents. It improves the skin tones and exfoliates the skin. However, before using any natural supplement on your must inform your consulted dermatologists to avoid complications.
