There are some preparations have to be done before going for the surgery to enlarge the breast and these are as follow:

1) Pre-Procedure

It is the first step in which patient decides about breast augmentation and took an appointment with a plastic surgeon, which includes:

• Advice like quitting smoking.
• Run some blood tests.
• Stop the use of recreational medications.
• Medicines which increase bleeding should be stopped.
• Be on a specific diet by avoiding some kinds of foods and beverages.

2) During the Procedure

Its procedure includes some steps and these are mentioned below:

Step 1: Anesthesia 

It is the first step in which a person is given a local anesthesia to make them comfortable through an entire surgical procedure which is given through intravenous.

Step 2: Incision 

It is an important step of the breast augmentation in which the surgeon will make single cuts, but in three different places. It is easy to determine which approach will be suited to you and to reduce the visibility of scar.

• Inframammary: It is cut under the line of the breast.
• Periareolar: A cut around the nipple.
• Transaxillary:  When a cut is made at your armpit.

Step 3: Breast Implant

Breast implant can be done in two ways by making a pocket.

1. It is a submuscular process in which an implant is inserted under the breast muscle to look more natural.
2. This implant is placed over the pectoral muscle, i.e. submammary.

Step 4: Stitches 

After placing those implants, it is time to close those cuts which were made in the breast tissues. There are many ways to close that incision, like surgical tape, skin adhesive and sutures.

3) Post-Procedure

After completing the procedure, you will remain in the hospital for observation until you get stable. Your surgeon will provide some pain relieving medicines, ointments etc., You have to follow some instructions after the surgery and attend follow-up visits. After one week, your doctor will remove those stitches.

What Things You Should Not Do After The Treatment

There are some things which should be taken care and avoid these things:

• No need to take a bath.
• Sleep on your back not on your tummy.
• Quit smoking.
• No physical activity.
• Do not take other medications until the doctor prescribed it for you.
• Swimming is not allowed.
• You should avoid heavy lifting.
