Cellulite Treatment

Description

In Cellulite fat gets deposited under the skin which pushes against the connective tissue. It makes the upper layer of the skin look uneven, lumpy and dimpled. This deposition of these cellulite are commonly seen on the various parts of the body, like stomach, thigh and butt. It is not a medical condition. It can be experienced by both men and women, however, it is quite often in females. According to some research, it is shown that around 90%, females are more prone to have lumps in the skin. Fortunately, a variety of cellulite treatment have emerged to help reduce the appearance of cellulite, each with its benefits and limitations.

Symptoms of Cellulite Treatment

The visibility of lumpy skin can be seen after pinching the skin. Its symptoms are divided into four grades and these are mentioned below:

  • Grade 0: At this stage, no fat gets deposited.
  • Grade 1: Dimpling on the skin appears while sitting only.
  • Grade 2: It is a moderate kind which can be seen while sitting and standing position.
  • Grade 3: It is a serious condition in which there are deep peaks and dimples when you get up and sit down.

Causes of Cellulite Treatment

The exact cause of cellulite is not known yet, however, when the fat is increased then it causes muscle tightening and this pushes the skin upward. Apart from this there are some other causes of cellulite and these are mentioned below:

  • Hormone Factors: Estrogen hormone is responsible for the formation of cellulite which plays an important role for its causes.
  • Changes in Metabolism: It breaks food into lipid, proteins, lipids etc. which get deposited under the skin.
  • Lifestyle: Stress in life may release stress hormones called catecholamines. This can be linked with cellulite.
  • Genetic factors: Changes in some genes may cause cellulite. 
  • Physical Inactive: Those individuals who are not physically active are more prone to have uneven skin.
  • Overweight: Excess of fat due to extra weight can be its cause.
  • Poor Diet: Unhealthy and poor diet can contribute to having cellulite.

Types of Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite treatment has various options that can be helpful to reduce the appearance of cellulite. There are two ways to treat cellulite which are as follows:

Advanced Treatments

  • Acoustic Wave Therapy: The area of the body with cellulite or prone to be then this therapy is used. In this connective tissues get vibrated and this is how it activates and increases the production of collagen. This collagen helps to enhance the appearance of skin by reducing dimples on the skin.
  • Carboxytherapy: In this treatment, dimples of cellulite are reduced from the skin of the body by using carbon dioxide gas. This gas is injected under the skin.
  • Get into Shape: Reducing overweight can be helpful fro cellulite to become less noticeable.
  • Use of Creams: Some creams and lotions which may be helpful to get rid of the dimple of the skin. There is a cream named Retinol which thickens the skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite. However, some patch tests should be done before using it.
  • Subcision: In this process, a needle is injected into the skin to break the hard cellulite.
  • Laser Treatment: It is a procedure in which a laser fiber is inserted into the skin and its energy breaks the tough bond of cellulite. This also helps to thicken the skin and thickening reduces the scars and dimples of cellulite. 
  • Mesotherapy: The particular substance in the form of hormones and enzymes is injected into the cellulite area. There is no such evidence for this treatment.

Home Remedies Treatments

Some home remedies can be useful to overcome cellulite and these are given below:

  • Cupping: It is a traditional way of treatment which is performed by the Chinese in which cups are put on the body. Due to the suction force, skins pull upwards. 
  • Ginkgo biloba: It is a herbal Chinese medicine which helps to improve the  blood circulation in the body. This reduces  the appearance of cellulite.
  • Exercise: Regular exercise can reduce body fat and prevent to deformed of the skin in the form of cellulite.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: It is another way to reduce body weight by taking it orally and you can also apply on your skin.
  • Dry Brushing: Blood cells can be stimulated by doing dry brushes. Brushes remove the cells of the dead skin and promote the growth of new cells.
