In her medical qualifications, she completed MBBS in 1980 from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram. Some years later, she also did her MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1983 from the same college, MGIMS, Sewagram. Also, Dr. Anita has received the FICS and FICOG fellowships from reputed institutions in India.

Dr. Anita Kant started her medical journey in 1983 with the Escorts Hospital as an HOD and SR Consultant. When she had vast experience and knowledge, she joined as a director at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences in 2010 and has continued to the present.
