Dr. Rahul Bhargava is a well-known and respected haematologist in Gurugram, India. He has more than 26 years of experience in this field. He is currently working and increasing their skills at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram. Also, he holds a position of Principal Director & Chief of Hematology or Hemato-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant & Stem-cell Transplant. Dr. Bhargava performed 1,500 stem cell transplants and suggested new ideas for performing stem transplants for multiple tissues in India in 2016. A part of medical work, he is also actively involved in the community, like anemia-free and thalassaemia-free India. He also focused on launching low-cost transplant centres across the world.
Dr. Bhargava completed his qualification in MBBS from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, in 2001, and then he did MD in Medicine from the same institution in 2004. After that, in 2009, he did a DM in Clinical Haematology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi. Additionally, he has also done certification training courses in unrelated and haploidentical stem cell transplantation, including international exposure.
Dr. Bhargava has worked for more than 26 years as a hematologist. From 2005 to 2006, he served as a Senior Resident in Haematology & Stem Cell Transplant at Christian Medical College(CMC) in Vellore. From 2011 to 2013, he launched the first stem cell transplant centre at Medanta-The Medicity, Gurugram, and he completed over 100 transplants in two years. From 2013 to 2016, he served as Head of Hematology at Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon. From 2017 to till now, he has been serving as the head of the hematology, paediatric hematology, and BMT unit at Fortis Memorial Research, Gurugram.
