Dr. Praveen Chandra is one of the most well-known cardiac surgeons or cardiologists with more than 30 years of experience. Currently, he serves as the Chairman at Medanta-The Medicity, Gurugram. He carried various advanced devices and technologies. He was the launcher in India for percutaneous aortic valve implantation without surgery. First ever, he also did the percutaneous mitral valve repair. Dr. P. Chandra has published approximately 100 of articles, reviews, and abstracts in various national and international journals.

Dr. Praveen Chandra completed his MBBS from King George’s Medical College under Lucknow University in 1986. Later, he did an MD in General Medicine from the same institution in 1989. Dr. Chandra then advanced his expertise in cardiology and did a DM in Cardiology also from the same college, King George’s Medical College, in 1991.

Dr. Praveen Chandra is a highly skilled and experienced cardiologist. He started his medical journey at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute as a consultant in Interventional Cardiology and served from 1992 to 2004. After that, from 2004 to 2010, he served as a director of Cardiac Cath Lab and Acute MI services at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Delhi. Through continuous practice and extensive knowledge, in 2010, he became the Chairman of Interventional Cardiology at Heart Institute of Medanta- The Medicity, Gurugram, and continued to play his role.
